ALERT: NEW CALIFORNIA EMISSION STANDARD TO
TAKE EFFECT ON JULY 17, 2009.
The California Air Resources Board (CARB) will be implementing a new emissions rule on July 17, 2009. The rule requires all carriers with refrigerated transportation units pulling into or around California to comply with a new state emission standard. CARB has estimated that as many as 75,000 reefer trailers will be affected by the change.
