Full Load

Full load shipping often is also referred to as full truckload (FTL) or full container load (FCL) shipping, depending on a customer’s needs and the mode of transport. Simply put, a full load is anything that is shipped by truck, train, plane or ship and fills the vehicle/container or reaches the allowable height/weight.

Our cross-country shipping company is the industry leader in full load shipping - whether it’s ground, sea or air transport, which can ship by ground throughout the continental United States, Canada and Mexico, and by sea and air throughout the world.

Of course, the big benefit to full load shipping is that it generally comes at lower freight rates than an equivalent weight of cargo in bulk.

There are many full load shipping companies suck as ours out there in a competitive industry. But unlike the big, faceless companies with which you are just a job number, we strive for the best possible working relationship with our clients. That means personal service, the flexibility to adjust to last-minute problems or changes and on-time shipments.

While all different types of equipment will be used in full load shipping, here are a few parameters for you to consider with your load:

•Most full loads shipped by truck via flatbeds or step decks can’t exceed 49,000 pounds. Flatbeds, a standard choice for concrete, granite, pipe and lumber shipments (among many others), generally run between 45 and 48 feet long and 102 feet wide. Full loads can’t exceed a height of 9 feet. Step decks are often the choice to haul machinery like tractors, forklifts, excavators, backhoes, etc., simply because the deck is lower and the load is allowed more height than on a flatbed – a little over 10 feet on step deck loads. Tarps can be provided for these open-air loads if requested.

•Those needing to ship items such as food, electronics, furniture and other items that need protection from the elements are likely to choose dry van shipping. These full loads generally are limited to 45,000 pounds, with these trailers ranging in size from 48-53 feet in length.

•We also offer refrigerated trailers, which generally are the same size as our dry van options but (obviously) these will keep your items such as meat, produce, dairy, seafood, poultry, etc., cold for the duration. These trailers can ship cold or frozen and will stay at a controlled temperature.

Whether you specify dry vans, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, step decks or any specialized equipment, you receive the highest quality transportation from point to point in North America (only air and sea to Alaska and Hawaii). Along with providing reliable service, we are required to carry cargo insurance certificates for the value of your freight moved.

We generally ask for a minimum of 72 hours notice for a full load transport regardless of mode of transport, but we build in leeway time and flexibility for all related issues such as permitting, crane arrangements, loading, transfers, etc. Whatever your shipment, we ensure fast, efficient service at substantial cost savings to you.

At our cross-country shipping company, we hope you consider us an extension of your company when it comes to your shipping. Call us today at 785-354-7875 or email us at admin@renegadetransportation.us with any questions or a free estimate on your next full load shipment anywhere in the world.

Our motto is "If you can build it, we can haul it" and we do it exceptionally well.
